Introducing the 2026 BMW XM Label: The Pinnacle of M Performance Electrified

June 19th, 2025 by

BMW M is proud to unveil the 2026 BMW XM Label—the most powerful production vehicle in our history and now the sole trim level for the XM lineup. Evolving from its original Label Red debut in 2024, the XM Label now stands on its own as the definitive expression of performance electrification, luxury design, and bold individuality.
Set to begin production in August 2025 at Plant Spartanburg in South Carolina, the 2026 XM Label arrives with key refinements that enhance every facet of the high-performance SUV experience—while retaining the unmistakable character that defines M.

738 Horsepower, Zero Compromises
At the core of the XM Label is a 4.4-liter BMW M TwinPower Turbo V8 engine paired with a high-performance electric motor. This M HYBRID system delivers a staggering 738 horsepower and 738 lb-ft of torque, making the XM Label the most powerful BMW production vehicle ever built. The result? A 0–60 mph time of just 3.4 seconds*, matching supercar acceleration with the everyday versatility of a luxury SUV.
The top speed remains electronically limited to 155 mph—or 175 mph with the available M Driver’s Package. For 2026, BMW has updated the throttle mapping for more precise modulation, enhancing the driving experience and responsiveness in all driving modes.

Enhanced Charging and Electrified Range
The XM Label continues to offer an estimated 31 miles of all-electric range**, now supported by upgraded charging capabilities. New for 2026 is an 11 kW onboard AC charger, improving charge speeds over the previous 7.4 kW system and minimizing downtime when plugged into Level 2 charging infrastructure. While the 19.2 kWh battery and 317-volt architecture remain unchanged, the upgrade enables quicker, more convenient charging—whether at home, in the city, or en route to your next adventure.

Precision-Engineered Handling and Braking
The 2026 XM Label is engineered for dynamic agility. A revised suspension setup with BMW Adaptive M dampers and a performance-calibrated coil spring system ensures confident handling, whether navigating mountain roads or cruising highways. The double-wishbone front and five-link rear axle configuration delivers M-level precision and control.
Braking performance is equally commanding, thanks to standard M Compound brakes with six-piston front calipers and single-piston rear calipers. All of this rides on 23-inch 1096 M alloy wheels, now available in an exclusive Jet Black finish. These are paired with high-performance tires: 275/35R23 at the front and 315/30R23 at the rear.

Design That Commands Attention
Aesthetically, the 2026 XM Label introduces bold new design options. The exterior can now be finished in Frozen Tanzanite Blue Metallic, complemented by a new welcome light animation that enhances its road presence even in the dark.
Inside, BMW Individual introduces three refined new interior themes:
• Night Blue leather with Vintage Coffee accents
• Black leather with Vintage Coffee accents
• Silverstone leather with Black accents
These sophisticated materials extend to the rear comfort cushions for a unified, tailored interior experience. The cabin remains a sanctuary of technology, comfort, and M performance.

A Label That Defines the Future
The 2026 BMW XM Label marks a new chapter for M—an era where electrification and performance are seamlessly integrated without compromise. It’s not just an evolution; it’s a statement of intent.
The Label will be officially revealed during the 24 Hours of Le Mans alongside the BMW M Hybrid V8 racecar, signaling BMW’s continued pursuit of excellence across all forms of performance.
Production begins in August 2025. Pricing will be announced closer to market availability.
